The term "permanent makeup" is a bit of a misnomer because it isn't truly permanent, but with long-lasting results and little downtime, the popularity of micropigmentation (also known as permanent makeup, semi-permanent makeup, permanent cosmetics, or cosmetic tattooing) is exploding. Our team of licensed micropigmentation artists gently and expertly tattoo pigments below your epidermis to make you look like you wake up, made up.

Most of our clients come to us after learning that micropigmentation is the secret to their friends’ beautiful brows. Our reputation is key to our success.

Good to know:

  • Your daily makeup will always look like it was applied by an expert... because it was
  • Results last 1-3 years
  • It's almost pain-free
  • We can correct errors made by other practitioners
  • We are unable to perform micropigmentation on women who are or might be pregnant.

Perfect for:

  • Shortening your daily makeup regimen
  • Sparse, thinning or over-tweezed eyebrows
  • Pale lips or fading lip lines
  • Contact lens wearers
  • Physically active people
  • Undefined lash lines
  • Reducing visibility of scarring
  • People with alopecia or vitiligo
  • Patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy

Consultation

A consultation is optional if you want to meet with a practitioner before committing to a procedure. We cover all the important information during the procedure, so most clients choose to forego a consultation and simply book a micropigmentation appointment.

Touch Ups

"Permanent makeup" can last for years. But the pigments are not like those used for body tattoos and are not truly permanent. That's one of many reasons we prefer to use the term "micropigmentation" rather than "permanent makeup".

How long you can go between touch ups depends upon several factors, including:

  • Skin type
  • How natural the initial look was. The finer and more natural the individual hair strokes, the more crisp you'll want to keep them
  • Amount of sun exposure
  • Use of anti-aging products and treatments
  • The shade of pigments used

Unique Beauty provides a solution for men and women suffering from general hair loss, various forms of alopecia or with scalp scars, including those as a result of hair transplant surgery. Of the solutions available, few are as immediate, permanent, realistic, hassle-free, non-invasive and cost-effective.

What can SMP do for you:

2-3 sessions might be required

  • Create the appearance of a fuller, thicker head of hair
  • Recreate a natural, more youthful frontal hairline and side profiles
  • Permanently camouflage the symptoms of alopecia, however severe or recurrent
  • Camouflage hair transplant scars from strip or FUE surgery
  • Hide birthmarks and accident-related scars or burns
  • Work as a combination solution with a hair transplant to provide additional density

If you’ve previously had micropigmentation done by someone other than Unique Beauty

Many new clients ask us to correct or refresh micropigmentation that was applied by someone else. We can usually improve the appearance. In many cases, we can achieve the same result as if we'd done the work from scratch.

This involves several unknowns: brand and composition of the pigments used by the original practitioner, color, shape, fading, your skin's natural pigmentation, length of time since most recent application, and more. Because of this, we can not guarantee a specific result or how many sessions will be optimal.

Pricing: We schedule and price this service as an entirely new application (see pricing elsewhere on this page). This price includes an initial appointment. If additional work is required to correct someone else's work, additional appointments are scheduled and charged as a touchup according to our standard touchup rates.

We reserve right to refuse in permanent makeup service in cases if you have one of next conditions(or for other reasons):

  • Diabetes (insulin injections)
  • Pregnant
  • Skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the site that is to be treated

Micropigmentation Pre-Procedure Information & Care

ALL SEMI-PERMANENT COSMETIC PROCEDURES ARE MULTI-SESSION PROCESSES. An initial application is incomplete until after a follow-up appointment, which must be scheduled approximately 4-8 weeks after your initial appointment. There is an additional charge for the follow-up appointment after your initial application. WHILE YOUR SKIN HEALS, BE PREPARED FOR THE COLOR INTENSITY OF YOUR PROCEDURE TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER, SHARPER, BRIGHTER, OR DARKER than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regrows to take its place.

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make social plans for a day or two following any procedure. Wear your normal makeup and bring your lip or brow pencils with you the day of the procedure.

Pre-Procedure Instructions

Eyebrows: Avoid tweezing, waxing, electrolysis, and coloring your brows for two weeks prior to the procedure if possible. This will allow your practitioner the most flexibility to achieve optimal results.

Eyeliner: DO NOT WEAR CONTACT LENSES DURING OR IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE. Remember to bring your glasses and sunglasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pretreated condition.

Do not use growth stimulants such as Latisse®, RapidLash®, or RevitaLash® for at least one week prior to and one week after your eyeliner procedure.

Lips: If you have any history of cold sores/ fever blisters/ herpes simplex, you must contact your physician to obtain and take the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks for at least 4 days before and after the procedure. Many physicians prescribe 12 capsules of 500mg Valtrex. Follow your physician’s instructions.

Two or three applications may be required to achieve the desired results. It is not uncommon to lose up to 70% of the color on the first application.

Micropigmentation Post-Procedure Care

For each area being tattooed are different aftercare instructions. You will receive printed detailed aftercare instructions to take home after your procedure.

If there is any swelling immediately after the procedure, an ice pack should be applied for no more than 15 minutes at a time. You may experience the following for several days after the procedure.(depending on the area being tattooed)

  • Eyelashes or eyebrows sticking together in the morning. Rinse eyes with eye wash daily for 5 days.
  • Puffy eyes
  • Light bruising near eyelid or brow area
  • Do not rub skin when washing your face for at least 10 days
  • Do not pick or scratch tattooed area.
  • For after care on hair simulation procedures, do not wash the area, scrub, pick, or get any chemicals on the area until it is healed.
  • Do not wear contacts after eyeliner procedure
  • Do not wear makeup on tattooed area until area has healed
  • Use sun screen and avoid harsh chemicals or Retin A, this may color to fade or discolor.
  • Do not put anything at all on tattooed area except Vitamin A&D Ointment or Vaseline . That includes lotions, tanning creams, makeup, antibiotic ointment, Retin A. (as per printed instructions)

DO NOT USE ON EYELINER-USE ARTIFICIAL TEARS.

  • The tattooed area will be dark for the first several days and will fade. Lips will fade about 50% after the first three days into a natural shade. While healing, the tattoo will look spotty.
  • Stay out of chlorinated pools, sun beds for at least 1 week.
  • If cold sores are seen on the lip area, call your doctor for a Valtrex prescription ASAP. Put nothing else on the lip area! You may use emu oil on cold sores but ask your physician.
  • If your eyes are red from the eyeliner procedure you can use emergency eyewash that can be purchased at any drug store. Eyewash that contains boric acid works well.
  • If you experience an allergic reaction contact your doctor ASAP.
  • No smoking immediately following the lip procedure. If smoking can be avoided, apply a heavy coating of Vaseline and cover your lips with your hand while smoking.

Avoid for 1 week:

  • Soaps, facial cleansers, water on pigmented areas
  • Washing pigmented area
  • Chlorine pools
  • Retin-A on pigmented areas
  • Makeup on pigmented area for 5 days, including non-allergenic
  • Hot, steamy, long showers
  • Sun on pigmented areas
  • Jacuzzi or saunas
  • Terry towels on pigmented areas
  • Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas.

Do not be alarmed by fading after the first application. The final color cannot be judged until at least 3 weeks after the touchup applications are completed. This is the reason follow-ups are required.

NOTE: Inform your doctor if you plan on having laser so that he can cover the tattooed area. Also collagen and permanent makeup do not mix! If you want collagen, get permanent makeup first. You may have to get more touchups with collagen because of the lip distortion after collagen. *****alert**** Exact color cannot be determined and may need to be adjusted. All skin is different and more touchups may be needed. Color needs to be checked every year.

No refunds on permanent makeup. Please do not get this done if you are not able to get required touchups.

We reserve right to refuse in this service for the certain reasons.
